Hotzone echoes

I 'm so pleased that our voices had the following echoes:

...Or does it explode

Kevin Sites continues to report from the Middle East for Yahoo!. His latest stop is Syria, where he sat down with some young bloggers. For context, it's worth reading the whole piece, as it depicts the outspoken bloggers fluctuating between protest (over state repression) and defensiveness (about how they perceive Syria is demonized in the world's opinion). It's intriguing yet painful to watch as they struggle between the two emotions.
Conspicuous construction

I saw this and had to post it for all to see. I couldn't rationalize editing much of the article because it intrigued me so much.

Again, so many of the things we take for granted here in the US, as well as Canada and other "free" countries are controversial issues for our neighbors around the world. But it is these same things that reveal the strong and resolute. These are the individuals I believe we need to truely make a
difference in our world.

Musing

I don't think we get the truth from the media in the United States - about anything. Unless, of course, it's the tattoo on whatsherfaces baby buldge or whatever...
